Where is My Voice? The Inspiration for My Second Children’s Book

Hey readers! I know it’s been a while, but I have another post for you today!

My second book will be here before you know it! I am so excited to launch it. Before I launch it, let’s chat a bit about the inspiration surrounding my last book and then my new book.

Sooo my first book, Poppy's Garden, happened after the death of my father junior year of college. I was extremely devastated. I wanted to create a book that would help children through the traumatic death of a loved one whether that be a friend, a parent, a pet, and etc.

This book did fairly well, so I decided that I wanted to write more.

Sooo BOOM, last year I got sick. I thought to myself, why are you not doing what you love? Why are you so miserable where you are?

I then started strategizing more books and what I wanted to do in life.

Here comes the development of book number 2. HIP HIP HOORAY!

I decided to write off of the inspiration of having a lost voice. Some of us lose our voices through employment, social media, to fit in, and etc. Some of us also use our voice to create hate and I wanted to acknowledge this as well through my writing teaching children to use their voices especially for good.
